Contraindications
People with recent abdominal surgery should not do full belly breathing.
Pregnancy - there is some hesitation that deep belly breathing could be harmful in the early stage of pregnancy.
Lung Conditions such COPD or scarring due to long Covid may mean that full CCB is not possible and that other Breathwork techniques more focused on physical health and wellbeing may be more appropriate.
People with extremes of Blood pressure or Glaucoma.
People with existing Heart Conditions that are not controlled.
Breathers with a history of Strokes or Aneurysms.
Very activating - so for people with a history of dissociation, schizophrenia or bipolar, it will probably not be appropriate for them to jump into a full group CCB session.
Be very cautious about breathing with people who are on heavy medication.
Do not breathe with people who are intoxicated on alcohol or other narcotics.
